David Adams

Dr. Adams serves as the Executive Director of The International Center for Youth and Family Ministry. He is the founder of Youth Ministry Development, an organization for equipping and empowering God directed leaders through the local church. He joined the faculty at Southern after serving as president of Lexington Baptist College for five years. Prior to that, he ministered at Thomas Road Baptist Church and Liberty University for 21 years, and is recipient of the “Liberty University Lifetime Achievement Award.”

Denny Burk

Dr. Burk is the Dean of Boyce College and Associate Professor of New Testament at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to moving to Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Burk taught at Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. He has written numerous articles and contributed to several books. He and his wife, Susan, have been married for eight years and have two daughters, Abigail and Emily.

Dan DeWitt

Daniel A. DeWitt became Vice President of Communications in 2009. His prior position was Associate Dean of Boyce College from 2007-2008. DeWitt served dually as Recruitment Supervisor for Boyce College and Associate Director for Boyce College Student Life from 2005-2007. Currently the lead pastor of the Highview Baptist Church’s University of Louisville Campus Church, DeWitt’s previous pastoral experience includes serving as the Minister to Students at Judson Baptist Church in Nashville and as Associate Minister to Students at Highview Baptist Church. DeWitt and his wife April have twin boys, Micah and Isaiah, born in 2006. DeWitt posts regularly to his blog, http://theolatte.com, and can be followed on Twitter at http://twitter.com/dandewitt.

Travis Kerns

Dr. Kerns joined the Boyce College faculty in January 2007, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of Christian apologetics, world religions, and new religious movements. His area of expertise is centered in the discipline of new religious movements, especially The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dr. Kerns is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, and the Society for Mormon Philosophy and Theology.

He and his wife, Staci, have one son, Jeremiah. Dr. Kerns is actively involved in the local athletic community as a member of the Bike Clicks / Team Louisville Bicycle Racing Team.

Heath Lambert

Dr. Lambert is the instructor of Biblical Counseling and Department Coordinator of Biblical Counseling at Boyce College. He came to the faculty at Boyce College from the pastoral ministry having served as an associate and senior pastor at churches in Kentucky and North Carolina.  Professor Lambert’s passion is to equip future church leaders to be Christ-exalting ministers of the Word of God. In his teaching he wants to foster in students a zeal to preach God’s Word, counsel God’s Word, and live God’s Word.

Mary Mohler

Mrs. Mohler is the wife of Dr. R. Albert Mohler, the ninth president of Southern Seminary.  In addition to her responsibilities as the President’s wife,  she is also the director of the Seminary Wives Institute.  Mrs. Mohler served on the seven member Study Committee for adding a family statement to the Baptist Faith and Message.  She also served on the Board of Directors for A Woman’s Choice Resource Center (Louisville, KY) from 2003 to 2009.  Dr. and Mrs. Mohler have two children, Katie and Christopher.

Jim Orrick

Dr. Orrick joined the Boyce College faculty in 2002 after serving in pastoral ministries for over twenty years. He is the Department Coordinator, General Studies and Professor of Literature and Culture.  He has also taught at several other colleges and universities.

He received a B.A. degree from Cumberland College, a M.A. from University of Memphis, a Ph.D. from Ohio University, and a M.Div. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ronnie Parrott

Mr. Parrott is Minister to Students and Children at the Valley Station Campus of Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Ronnie has a BA in Youth Ministry from Boyce College and is currently finishing a Master’s of Divinity in the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Alongside his ministry at Highview, Ronnie serves as an adjunct instructor at Boyce College within the area of Church Ministry. Ronnie is married to Marci and they have a two year old son named Jack. Ronnie and Marci are expecting their second child, Anna Kate, on April 3, 2009.

Randy Stinson

Dr. Stinson became Dean of the School of Church Ministries in August 2006. Dr. Stinson also serves as the Executive Director for The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. He is a renowned authority on the subject of biblical manhood and womanhood. Dr. Stinson has earned a B.A. from the University of South Florida, a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Th.M. and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has served as a senior pastor as well as other church staff positions.
