the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

Overview

The Great Commission 5k is an annual run/walk on the scenic campus of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  The race unites the seminary community for common goals of fitness, fellowship, and fundraising for missions.  Entry fees from the race fund a scholarship program that helps support students participating in SBTS sponsored domestic and international mission trips.  More information about 2012-2013 mission opportunities can be found on the Billy Graham School of Missions site.

The 5k consists of three laps around campus and is open to runners and walkers of all abilities.  Awards are given to top finishers in each age category.  The race starts and finishes near the pavilion.  Light refreshments are provided to runners and walkers after the race.  A map of the course can be found here.  For race specific questions, email missions@sbts.edu or stop by the Great Commission Center in Norton 108.
